Hawaii Travel Studio
Photography | Documenting
In Fall 2023, I was fortunate to travel to Hawaii with my studio team to study the coral reefs. Our primary goal was to understand the current state of the local coral reefs and to engage deeply with expert institutions in coral reef restoration.
The photos below briefly document my journey: We volunteered to help maintain local fish ponds, visited local marine research institutions to learn about coral reef cultivation and restoration techniques, and collaborated with the local tech company, Oceanit, to discuss innovative solutions aiming for new strategies in coral reef protection and restoration. Throughout the trip, I was profoundly moved by the significant impact human activities have on coral reefs and deeply reflected upon it.

At the Hawaiʻi Institute of Marine Biology, I delved into a comprehensive study of the coral reef garden, gaining profound insights into marine biodiversity and conservation techniques.
Oceanit
At Oceanit, I gained insights into their transformative journey from scientific innovations in the lab to market applications, especially in marine protection and maritime technologies.
